Pastor Bill Solomon and his wife, June, have 53 years of pastoral ministry between them. Bill is a North Carolina boy and June is from South Carolina. Married in 1963 with two children and 7 grandchildren, they have pastored in North Carolina, South Carolina, Missouri, Georgia and Tennessee. Church planting has been their specialty, having begun and built 4 churches from scratch. They have been in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church for 25 years.
Bill’s preaching style is simply explaining the Bible and then applying it to our daily lives with lots of stories and illustrations. Each Sunday Worship Service will feature the “Sermon Sack” for the younger ones and the young in heart. June’s ministry is teaching and loving children and she has her degree in Children’s Christian Education.
Their Vision for New Horizon EPC Mission Group is to watch God create a group of people into a loving, helping, learning church body that will discover new ways to obey Jesus’ Great Commission. They both realize there are no perfect people in Asheville! So, New Horizon is for imperfect people who want to experience how much they are loved by The Perfect Savior, Jesus Christ.
